Alex Kingston attended the Pearson Teaching Awards as a presenter.
Rachael Keeble, received her Outstanding New Teacher of the Year at the Pearson Teaching Award from Alex Kingston (River Song).
A BLACKWOOD woman was named Outstanding New Teacher of the Year’ at a national awards ceremony.
Rachael Keeble, 23, who now teaches in Lydney, Gloucestershire, was named the winner of the category at the Pearson Teaching Awards 2011.
She received her award from Dr Who star Alex Kingston at a ceremony at London’s Palace Theatre.
Her class of Year Four students from Severn Banks Primary School saw her receive the award.
Ms Keeble, who was commended by the award judges for her imaginative teaching skills, also joined the ten other winners at a reception with the prime minister at Downing Street this week.
