(Silver Spring, Md.) – On Monday, January 18, Discovery Channel viewers will be treated to an all-day marathon of the Emmy®-nominated MYTHBUSTERS, the series that aims to uncover the truth behind popular myths and legends by mixing scientific method with gleeful inquisitiveness and plain old-fashioned ingenuity to create their own signature style of experimentation. During the marathon, the network kicks off the MythBusters Superfan Sweepstakes, which offers viewers a chance to Tweet their way to Comic-Con and meet the MYTHBUSTERS. The sweepstakes runs from 12:01 AM ET on Monday, January 18 through 11:59 PM ET on February 8, 2010.
The MythBusters Superfan Sweepstakes encourages viewers to follow the MYTHBUSTERS Twitter and get inside scoop on the show while vying for the grand prize of a trip for two to Comic-Con® 2010 in San Diego, California to meet the MYTHBUSTERS, who have drawn standing room only crowds at the pop culture mecca for the past two years. Open to U.S. residents only, the sweepstakes will be promoted on-air on Monday, January 18 at 9AM ET/PT; sweepstakes full rules will be posted at discovery.com/mythbusters at 12:01 AM on Monday, January 18.
